Amidst the vintage craze that has taken over the taste and design aesthetic of so many young people in recent years, it’s quite clear that the love of antiques will never disappear. Another design fetish that won’t be going away anytime soon is the love affair Americans seem to have with everything French. That’s why antique lovers and Francophiles alike should rejoice at Highgate House’s announcement that they will now carry French Vintage Home’s unique collection of gorgeous French antique and vintage textiles in shop.
French Vintage Home was founded by two women, Audrey Friedman and Laura McGuire, who developed taste and an expert eye for beauty through years of entertaining, styling, buying and travelling. Their love of French antiques led them to launch French Vintage Home.
Friedman splits time between Dallas and France where she scours the country for the exquisite pieces she sells. Now, Aimee and Dudley Simms of the Design District’s own mecca for French and English antiques, will have her and McGuire’s curated findings right here in the neighborhood.
Here’s a preview of the perfectly lush and detailed French textiles to get your mind churning with some European style redecorating ideas:
